We went to lot of places, but there was a buzz about Grimsby which we didn’t find elsewhere. Grimsby was friendlier than the rest. The fact there is an excellent food culture and helpful council in Grimsby helped to make up our mind.

With around 1,350 staff, the Grimsby Institute is the third largest employer in the North East Lincolnshire region. Higher Education provision is an area the Grimsby Institute offers over 100 HE programmes through partnerships with universities including, Hull, York St. John, Huddersfield and Leeds Metropolitan.

New University Centre

Grimsby's new £20 million university centre is under construction. The flagship development for the area is being added to the existing campus with completion expected in 2011. The new centre's facilities will include state-of-the-art lecture theatres, research facilities, clinical skills rooms, laboratories for science and sports physiology, computer suites, studios for television and radio broadcast and a fully licensed bar with food outlets, all based around a central atrium.
